Men's Skinsuits are for sports like swimming, diving, surfing and kayaking can cost more or less depending on a couple key features. The amount of stretch in a skinsuit comes from the materials used. Spandex for example is stretchy and can make a skinsuit easier to get in and out of and more comfortable. There are blends of nylon and spandex in skinsuits. Skinsuits are not wetsuits and do not have neoprene. There are also skinsuits that are made of polyeolfin and those suits offer some thermal protection, so if you need extra warmth under your wetsuit, try a polyolefin skin.
Skin suits are excellent for protection from harmful UV rays and sea life. If you are looking for ways to protect your skin when doing your favorite water sports, skins are an inexpensive option. They are not made of neoprene and do not provide thermal (warmth) protection unless they are made of polyolefin. If you are in warm tropical waters and need just a little thermal protection, look for a polyolefin skinsuit or a 1mm neoprene wetsuit or shorty springsuit wetsuit.
If you need thermal protection with your skinsuit you can add a neoprene vest as a top layer to keep your core warmer. Skinsuits are used mostly for skin protection in and out of the water or under a wetsuit to make it easier to get in and out of. Layering neoprene shirts, shorts, pants and vest can give you the warmth you are looking for in warmer water conditions.
